I was the lead designer for issues 11 & 12 of one cool word (OCW Magazine), a Vancouverlogue that encourages expression in all its forms, luring everything from spoken word to electronic music, painting to cartoons, and non-fiction to experimental writing. The layout had to be edgy, quirky and charismatic in order to compliment a number of release parties, stand out on the shelves in a sea of other magazines, and be carefully coveted by readers amongst rooms filled with loud music and cups of beer.
