GO Transit required a fresh new look and feel for their quarterly bilingual newsletter. It had to be consistent with the established corporate brand, while also providing an aesthetically pleasing format for passengers to peruse during their commute. The layout had to work in both printed and digital formats, and provide a flexible framework for upcoming editions. To ensure that the bilingual format was simple for readers to visually understand, I used a consistent text treatment for the English versus the French text throughout the newsletter. I also designed with optimal text size for both print and on-screen viewing. I worked closely with the GO Transit brand team to ensure it remained consistent with the brand strategy but also established an engaging new look and feel. The result was an increased viewership online and a flexible template to allow for ease of design for upcoming editions.
